Each pair below is the same garden, photographed before we started and after we finished. Tap Before to see where it started.
Garden beds reset. Overgrown beds cleared and re-edged, then the soil turned over and replanted.
Front lawn and edges. Overgrown grass mown back and a clean ring re-cut around the tree.
Front fence cleared. Growth cut back off the fence line and the nature strip mown.
Side bed recovered. Grass and weeds cleared out of the bed and the edging re-laid.
Overgrown pergola. A sprawling vine cut back to a single trained form and the ground beneath cleared.
Flagstone paving. Bare, dug-over ground laid with flagstones and planted out.
Screening hedge. A shaggy row of trees brought back to a straight, even face on clean trunks.
Side lawn recovered. Long, unmown grass cut back and the edges re-cut against the beds.
Courtyard clean up. Weeds and clutter cleared and the bed turned over, keeping the established succulents.
Front bed weeded. Grass and weed growth taken out and the bed brought back to clean soil.
Rock bed mulched. Weeds taken out from between the rocks and the bed topped with fresh mulch.
Paving and bed edge. Weeds cleared out of the paving and the bed mulched back to a clean line.
Front garden weeded and mulched. Beds cleared of weed growth and topped with fresh mulch.
Bed topped up. Bare soil between the plantings covered with fresh mulch.
Back lawn and path. Grass cut back and edged, beds mulched and the brick path cleared.
Paving cleared. Weed growth taken out of the paver joints and the raised bed re-mulched.
Brick edge recovered. Grass cleared back off the brick edging and the bed mulched.
Bamboo screen. An unruly clump brought back to a flat, even screen at fence height.
Climber cut back. A sprawling jasmine trimmed flat to the wall and the bench seat cleared.
Formal front garden. Hedge cut back to a straight face and the lawn panels brought back to clean lines.
Back lawn. Uneven, weedy growth mown out and the edges cut back to the paving.
Nature strip. Long grass mown back off the footpath and around the hydrant.
Back corner cleared. Self-seeded growth taken out and the paving swept back to clean concrete.
Overgrown yard mown. Knee-high grass cut back around the fig and the drive cleared.
Front lawn recovered. Waist-high dry grass cut back to an even, mown lawn.
Nature strip cleared. Overgrown grass mown and the leaf litter taken off the footpath.
Front hedge. A bulging, uneven face trimmed back to a clean, level line.
Boundary hedge. Wild growth above the fence brought back to a level, flat top.
Laneway ivy. Growth cut back flat to the fence so the path is clear again.
Footpath edge. Ivy cut back off the path and the fence line squared up.
Side path hedge. A shaggy face cut back square so the gate and path are clear.
Side path reclaimed. Overgrowth cut back off the path and the bluestone edge cleared.
Front lawn established. Bare, dug-over ground brought back to full, even lawn.
Overgrown corner. Growth cut back off the fence and the path cleared.
Back lawn. Weed growth taken out and the lawn brought back to even cover.
Formal courtyard. Deep autumn leaf fall cleared off the gravel and the box hedging.
Tree shaping. A dense, uneven canopy lifted and shaped to let light back into the garden.
